AE Expeditions plans photography cruise in Iceland and Greenland
AE Expeditions has unveiled a photography-themed expedition in the Arctic for 2027. The 11-day Iceland & East Greenland: Through the Lens Photography sailing will depart Reykjavik on July 31 on Sylvia Earle with four expert photographers on board to provide hands-on guidance. Princess Cruises plots 96 sailings in Asia in 2027-28
Princess Cruises has put its 2027-28 southeast Asia and Japan programme on sale. The line’s biggest deployment
in Asia features 96 departures across 61 itineraries, spanning 55 destinations in nine countries. Eighty-five of the departures
are from Japan, with 52 itineraries ranging from seven to 29 nights, plus 11 departures across nine itineraries in southeast Asia. Two ships, Diamond Princess
and Sapphire Princess, will homeport in Tokyo. Seasons will visit all four islands of Japan during cherry blossom season and offer six late-night stays. Round-trip Singapore
and Japan-to-Singapore sailings will visit Thailand and Vietnam, with late-night calls in Hong Kong and Osaka.

MSC to upgrade facilities at Catalina
Facilities at Catalina Island in the Dominican Republic are to be upgraded by MSC Group and Casa de Campo Resort & Villas. New features will include an open-air beach pavilion, a water sports centre, more cabanas and refurbished changing facilities. Passengers from all cruise lines and clients of the resort will have access.

Swan Hellenic unveils host of sailings on Africa’s west coast

Swan Hellenic has unveiled two Grand Voyages on the west coast of Africa for 2026, alongside an expanded programme in the region in 2027. The first Grand Voyage in autumn 2026 is the
12-night Atlantic Crossroads: Cruise from Senegal to Ghana, which visits nine ports in seven countries from September 16, costing from £12,850. The second is the 14-night West Africa cruise from
Ghana to Angola, which visits nine ports in seven countries from September 29, leading in at £10,375. The two can be combined into a 26-night itinerary
visiting 14 countries and 18 ports between Dakar and Luanda. In 2027, there will be nine cruises across two seasons. In spring, four northbound sailings will visit 14
countries in 46 days between Cape Town and Lisbon. One of the sailings is a nine-night West Africa
Coast & Atlantic Islands Cruise from Dakar to Lisbon,

departing on May 5, 2027, and priced from £5,900. In the autumn, five southbound voyages will operate
the route in reverse, visiting 15 countries across 51 days. A seven-night From Fado to the Kasbah: Cruise
from Lisbon to Casablanca departs on September 8, 2027, with prices from £4,425. All voyages will be on board SH Diana which has
capacity for 192 passengers. Chief executive Andrea Zito said: “Now entering our

Two culinary-themed sailings will provide insight into local traditions and regional dishes, while an Into the Elements: Greenland Experience cruise features a hiking and camping excursion in South Greenland.
