Windstar to add new eatery on Star Seeker
Windstar Cruises will add a new speciality restaurant on its ship, Star Seeker, which is due to launch in December. Basil + Bamboo will offer “a captivating blend of Mediterranean and Asian cuisine” and be open for dinner only, with reservations required. It first appeared on Star Breeze and will take the place of Cuadro 44 across the line’s fleet.

Virgin Voyages makes group bookings easier after agent feedback
Virgin Voyages has updated its group travel booking options to provide “greater flexibility, richer benefits and improved offers”. The changes are based on agent
feedback and the newly renamed Circles, Groups, and Weddings programme is designed to make group bookings “easier and more rewarding” for the trade. Circles is designed for groups
still being finalised and will have no minimum cabin requirements, no deposits, more time to form a group and one complimentary Sea Terrace cabin for the organiser once a 10 cabin threshold is met, or a 2% bonus commission. Groups is for those where
numbers and destination are decided and will have an eight cabin minimum, no deposit, onboard bar tab options and price protection.

HAL includes Panama Canal in bookings for 2026-27 season

Holland America Line has opened bookings for its Panama Canal, Hawaii, Mexico and Pacific Coast cruises in 2026-27. The line will offer 12 voyages, each between 14 and
21 days, which include the Panama Canal. These will be on Eurodam, Nieuw Amsterdam and
Zuiderdam, with selected voyages stopping in Acapulco, Mexico, a first for the line in 15 years. Prices for Panama Canal cruises start at £2,939 per
person for a 14-day sailing leaving on January 2, 2027. The line will also operate six Hawaii itineraries on
Koningsdam, Noordam and Zaandam, ranging between 17 and 28 days. Prices for Hawaii cruises start at £2,619 per person
for a 17-day cruise leaving on October 13, 2026. Holland America Line will additionally have
16 departures for eight itineraries during its Mexico season, with voyages between seven and 12 days
Seabourn reveals this year’s roster of
Authors at Sea cruise programme Seabourn has revealed its line-up of authors joining voyages this year. Between March and December, Lord Jeffrey Archer, Ann Cleeves, Debbie Macomber, Robert K Wittman and Zelda La Grange will form part of the Authors at Sea programme. Prices lead in at £4,599 for an eight-day Western Mediterranean Mosaic sailing leaving on May 10, with former model and novelist Lady Sandra Howard joining the cruise.
