Derek Jones @Degsy_DJ Der Touristik This traffic light analogy doesn’t work. Green on a traffic light just means go. It doesn’t mean head off across the junction but before you reach the other side, pull over, drop 120 quid into a box, and take your driving test again.

Paul Charles @PPaulCharles The PC Agency Governments don’t ban foreign travel to stop the importation of new flu variants, which also tragically kill some patients. Pinning the blame on travel is always a smokescreen for some politicians’ failure to put effective testing in place.

Travelplanners: So sad Story: Travelplanners Southsea blames Covid ‘decimation’ for collapse after 45 years Chloe Read: Very sad news. I remember discovering my love for travel as a Saturday girl in the Southsea office over 20 years ago. Thinking of all the staff.

Test costs: Britain’s prices are crazy Story: EasyJet chief calls for cut in PCR test costs to £30

I will need to get four tests to travel to and from France – that’s £800. It’s a joke. If you have to quarantine anyway, why do you have to take a test on days two and eight on return? It’s a lucrative economy and a violation of human rights. Katie Ingham

I travel to Ghana. Going, I have to pay £120 for a Covid test. At the airport, I’m asked to pay £50 for a test in Ghana before I’m allowed to board the flight. Before returning to London, l have to take a £50 Covid test in Ghana, and then when I get to the airport in Ghana I have to pay £210 for a test in London. This is crazy – the British government has to do something about it. Ernest Frimpong

The regulatory costs are much higher in the UK compared to other nations. This reduces the number of labs that can register to process PCR testing, handing the bigger labs a virtual monopoly where they can charge what they wish. John Ellis

provide customer mobile numbers Anyone know if Jet2 is contractually agreeing not to use the data [for marketing] in their agency agreements? Or is this just a pledge they can forget in the future?

Brexit: Why surprise? Story: Loss of Posted Workers Direc- tive ‘could hit 20,000 UK workers’ Why should any EU country relax the rules for British workers? The Brexit vote was won on a pledge to restrict EU people from working in the UK. FWIW
