Marella boss Karen Doyle leaves Tui after nine years


Karen Doyle has left Tui after nine years. Doyle was promoted to Marella Cruises general manager of supplier management and ancillary revenue last year. It is understood Doyle left the business a few weeks ago for personal reasons.


MSC postpones christening of Seaview by one week


MSC Cruises has postponed the Genoa christening of MSC Seaview by a week, to July 9, as the new ship requires “a few extra days of final fitting”. Passengers on the cancelled maiden sailing, including fewer than 100 Britons, will be fully refunded and offered 50% off a future cruise, while agents’ commission will be protected.


South Shields to pay tribute to Chloe and Liam

Hungarian airline Wizz Air has been granted a UK air operator’s certificate. Newly-formed Wizz Air UK is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wizz Air Holdings.


A2Btransfers rebrands to HoppaGo and boosts tech

The A2Btransfers trade brand has been retired after 13 years following a rebrand of the transfers and holiday taxis specialist to HoppaGo.


The firm, which was set up in


2005, acquired Resorthoppa from Lowcost Travel Group in 2012 before becoming the Hoppa Group. It will continue operating its B2C brand Hoppa. Along with the rebrand, HoppaGo


has launched a new website and trade technology that it says will “increase capacity tenfold” and help agents convert sales. The supplier said it wanted


to make agents’ lives easier by offering automated account reporting, a new booking engine and white‑label or software integration via API connections. Private taxi point‑to‑point capabilities and other flexible bookings have been added to give agents more choice. Parent company Hoppa Group
