ABOUT CITEL Since 1937, Citel has been protecting the world's most critical networks and equipment from transient overvoltages. Citel designs, manufactures and supplies millions of surge protection devices each year to our clients who are conscious of the dangers transients pose. Through an understanding of local standards and regulations, along with continuously investing in R&D, we pioneer new technologies and bold innovations at our in-house test labs across the globe.


Citel reliably fulfills our clients’ needs specific to their application by providing standard or specialized solutions. We develop and manufacture many of our critical surge protection components internally, including gas discharge tubes, thermally protected varistors and high-energy varistor assemblies.
