What should you be aware of?

We are extremely proud of our graduate community, its influence around the globe and exceptional contribution to a broad range of professional fields. Through the Middlesex University Alumni Association, students can access this incredible pool of talent and a growing range of other exclusive benefits and services. A student may come to you enquiring about the range of services offered after graduation including Alumni access, references and employability.

What should you do?

Finalist students should receive an email a few months before their Graduation Ceremony. Please refer students to the following link which includes information on registration, tickets and ceremony dates:

Alumni Association:

Anyone who has completed a course of study at Middlesex University can join the Alumni Association. Registration to join the Alumni Association is free and can be accessed on the following page: https://alumni.mdx.ac.uk/landing-page-login

There are a wide range of services exclusively available to our graduates. For example:

— access to Sheppard Library (with an Alumni Card)

— study discounts to help you maintain your competitive edge

— discounted membership to the Fitness Pod

— access to Guest Wi-Fi on University Campus when using your own device

— email account access beyond graduation for a limited time

If a student requires a reference:

Please advise the student they will need to request these via myAlumniHub. Once registered they can login in at the following page: https://alumni.mdx.ac.uk/landing-page-login

Once logged in they can navigate to the ‘Academic Referrals’ page where they can submit their request:

The student should ensure that they have provided an up to date email address on the form before submitting their request.

Please remind the student that they should first request the permission of their tutor; please also remind them that any reference will go directly to the employer who requests it.

Diploma Supplements, Certificates and Verifications:

If a student requires their Diploma Supplement and Certificate:

The initial Diploma Supplement and Certificate are free of charge. If the student requires a replacement and they graduated after 1993, they need to order this via the online store using the Academic Registry link; www.onlinestore.mdx.ac.uk

If they graduated before 1993, or require further information please direct them to: http://unihub.mdx.ac.uk/study/assessment-and-regulations/diploma-supplements-and-certificates

If a student requires their Certificate and Diploma Supplement verified:

All requests from third parties, (i.e. employers and agencies), should be sent to verifications@mdx.ac.uk
Information which can be confirmed is attendance dates, award date and final award qualifications.
Certificates and Diploma Supplements can also be assessed and verified.

Please advise students that third party agencies (such as recruitment companies, referencing agencies or background screening companies) must provide a signed letter of consent from the student, allowing the University to release the information requested. There is a charge for this service.

Award Letters (confirmation of students’ programme and classification details) can be provided free of charge from UniHelp: http://unihub.mdx.ac.uk/support/unihelp
