W

Directly tileable wedi elements, manufactured with at least 25% recycled XPS core material, are 100% waterproof to the core, thermally insulating, stable and load-bearing. The new range of seamless wedi Top design surfaces, manufactured 100% from recycled materials, provide a warm to touch, hygienic, non-slip surface finish. The manufacturer knows all too well, that regardless of the final design of the shower area, walls are either plastered masonry or often fully cladded with plasterboard. Its brand new, comprehensive product set is the perfect solution for reliable sealing of such walls in wet areas. The wedi Wall sealing set
contains everything that is needed to seal a 7.5 m2 surface: wedi Subliner Dry sealing membrane along with sealing tapes, sealing gaiters and a 2-component joint sealant. This specially tailored set is a perfect complement to wedi Fundo shower elements, creating a secure and functional shower enclosure, and – beside the 10 year product quality guarantee wedi offers for each and every product in their standard product range – such installations would also be awarded not only with a CE mark but also, a full wedi system warranty.
However,
wedi
building boards
are
strongly recommended for such installations that require levelling, thermal insulation or planned to receive large format tiling or stone as a surface finish. Their excellent thermal (0.036 W/mK) and loadbearing (133 kg/m2) capabilities set them apart from other foam tilebackers on the current market. They are solid and stable; from 50 mm thickness, they are approved for use as partition walls! With a wide range of thicknesses ranging from 4 mm to 100 mm, they are suitable for all types of installations such as tailor-made washstands,
benches, shelving etc. What
is more, they can be easily cut to required dimensions with very little, non-hazardous dust and come with their own Environmental Product Declaration – for perfect compliance with sustainable building.
