Hurst Doors has become one of just a handful of UK suppliers certifi ed to produce a quality composite FD30s fi re doorset with sidelights and fanlights. T e company are now certifi ed under the BM Trada UKCA marking of external pedestrian fi re rated doorsets scheme. T is allows them to supply fi ve of their most popular door styles for settings that are open to the elements, such as external fl at entrances, incorporating fanlights and/or sidelights. Subjected to rigorous third party testing, the Neuma fds fi re door system has undergone more than 30 bi-directional tests at three independent and accredited European test laboratories. In testing the fi re doors achieved an average integrity of 45 minutes (or 50% longer than the FD30s standard requires). Suitable for reactive maintenance, refurbishment projects, new-build developments and more, Hurst’s fi re doors are currently being supplied to several large-scale social housing projects. T at meant we needed it to off er outstanding fi re performance – but also be versatile enough to excel in a wide variety of residential and commercial settings.” T e product has also been tested to the tougher EN 1634-1:2014 standard. Testing has been completed on both solid and glazed door options.
