BERTHING & CHARGES Visiting Vessels


Charges Overview 1st April 2023 - 31st March 2024 A full schedule of charges are available from the Harbour Office or on our website (www. dartharbour.org). All charges include 20% VAT where appropriate. All visiting vessels must pay harbour dues and berthing fees where appropriate. All charges for vessels will be rounded up to the nearest half metre.


How to Pay Visitors can pay online, to a River Patrol or in person at the Harbour Office. Payment may also be made over the phone by debit/credit card – 01803 832337. American Express is not accepted.


Extended Stays Extended stays or boats without crew are only allowed on our DW3 Pontoon and are charged an increased rate and only with the Harbourmasters permission.


Harbour Dues Harbour Dues of £1.05 per metre per day are payable on all vessels up to 24m LOA (£3/metre for vessels 24m-50m) except those under 4m (unless fitted with more than 40 hp )or those with no mechanical means of propulsion. Min. charge £5 unless exempt. Frequent visitors - £15 per metre. Covers up to 90 days in one year. Only for vessels not permanently moored on the Dart.


Please note – Harbour Dues are paid in addition to Berth Charges.


Berth Charges Charges for moorings are listed in italics in each of the berthing sections. The locations of moorings are all shown on the map. All prices listed may be subject to change. Correct at date of publication.

Please follow these rules for all berthing unless otherwise instructed in individual berthing sections.


■ On arrival, please contact Dart Harbour on VHF Channel 11 (call sign DARTNAV).


■ Visitors should berth in accordance with River Patrol instructions and observe locally signed berthing instructions out of hours.


■ Please refer to the latest edition of Admiralty chart 2253 to ensure safe berthing of your vessel.


■ The owner or master of the vessel remains responsible at all times for the safe and suitable berthing of their vessel and the safety of the crew.


■ Berths are available on a strict first come, first served basis only, and may not be available at certain times due to maritime events.


■ Make contact with River Officers or the Harbour Office to arrange for payment of berthing fees and harbour dues.


■ Contact the Harbour Office before berthing if leaving your vessel unattended.


■ Multi Hull/Large Beam vessels may be charged multi-hull rates.


Visitor facilities suitable for


disabled users Due to the characteristics and nature of the harbour and its surroundings please be aware that there is limited safe disabled access. Dart Harbour’s main suitable facility for registered disabled owners of vessels is the Town Jetty visitor facility. Staff will endeavour to help registered disabled persons as much as possible. Other suitable berths exist at private marinas, including Darthaven Marina and Dart Marina. For enquires of availability and suitability of these berths, please contact the marinas direct.
