As the voice for the business com- munity, the Ardmore Chamber of Commerce represents business interests in public policy and civic arenas by tracking legislative issues and advocating for business inter- ests to government officials on the local, state and federal levels. The Chamber represents the interests of sound policy to give businesses a competitive edge, allow them to hire more workers, and expand in southern Oklahoma.

To bring these issues home for our members, the Chamber hosts bi-weekly Legislative Luncheons

during the legislative sessions. The presentations rotate between state and local elected officials.

the Chamber Facebook page, web- site, and e-blasts for the date of the first 2019 luncheon to be announced.

The Gold sponsors for Legislative Af- fairs are Gray Television DBA KXII-TV and HW Lochner Engineering. The Silver sponsors are Valero - Ardmore Refinery and XTO Energy.

The Chamber will hold the first Legislative Luncheons of 2019 later this month. Senator Frank Simpson, Representatives Tammy Townley and Tommy Hardin will provide an update on current activities and answer ques- tions from attendees. Keep an eye on

Legislative Luncheons begin at 11:30 am with box lunches available for $10.00. The elected officials begin their presentations at noon. Reserva- tions are required and can be made by emailing the Chamber at jauten@ardmore.org.
