HOLIDAY HAPPENINGS

and preparing for activities to bring out the festive spirit in even the most resolute Scrooge!

Te Festival of Lights Display at Regional Park is southern Oklahoma’s premier holiday drive through experience! Te 1.5 mile trip through over 125 holiday light displays at Regional Park is a sure way to get in the festive spirit. Come sip on a mug of hot chocolate, crank up some holiday tunes, and enjoy the lights! Admission is free; however, donations are much appreciated and benefit local non-profits.

Also at Regional Park, Santa’s Workshop will be held on December 1st and 2nd from 6 pm until 10 pm. Located at the end of Festival of Lights, make sure to add this to your list of family Christmas traditions!

Te 40th annual Toys for Tots Southern Oklahoma Children’s Christmas Parade is scheduled for Saturday, December 2nd. Tis Ardmore tradition features floats created by local businesses and organizations, classic cars, bands, and horse drawn vehicles. Te parade will begin at 10 am and will travel throughout downtown.

Speaking of Santa, the HFV Wilson Community Center will be hosting a VERY special visitor on Saturday, December 9th for their Breakfast with Santa from 9 to 11 am, followed by a candy cane scramble for the kids.

Welcome to the holiday season in Ardmore! Te town is bustling

Ardmore Parks and Recreation will also be hosting a

downtown stocking stroll on December 16th from 10 am until 1 pm with a chance to gather goodies and get a head start on shopping local for your Christmas wish list.

During this festive season, let us not forget those in our community who are less fortunate. Te Toys for Tots, Salvation Army Angel Tree, Shop with a Cop and other programs need our support to ensure a brighter holiday. Please take a moment to donate a toy, clothing or a monetary giſt to keep the true spirit of the season alive.

Tere are many families who will celebrate this holiday season without the presence of a loved one who is currently protecting and serving our country, either in the military or as a first responder. Please take the time to thank them for the service of their family member and remember to keep all of them in your prayers.

Tis is a wonderful time of year to remember how blessed we are to live in a community like Ardmore. Our economy, quality of life and community spirit makes this a truly special place. As we enter these hectic weeks of the holiday season, it is oſten easy to lose sight of the true meaning of Christmas. Please take time this season to celebrate the things that really matter.

May your holiday season and new year be filled with much joy, happiness and success!
