Rentokil targets Covid-19 disinfection services CoolCare offers free remote
Cleaning and disinfection provider Rentokil Specialist Hygiene has launched a range of specialist disinfection services to assist with Covid-19 containment and control. Rentokil is offering four services depending on the situation: a service for Covid-19 confirmed or suspected within 72 hours; a service for Covid-19 confirmed or suspected that is older than 72 hours; all-purpose specialist disinfection; and a contingency survey that incorporates a site-specific risk assessment of premises. For all services, qualified technicians will be equipped with the necessary personal protective equipment, respiratory protective equipment and specialist disinfection equipment.
“Preventing the spread of the
Covid-19 must be the number one priority for all employers and employees, and a proactive approach to health and hygiene is the key to achieving this,” said at Rentokil technical and innovations manager Jamie Woodhall. “If you have had a confirmed
or suspected case of the Covid-19 virus on your premises, then it is vital to consult disinfection experts swiftly,” he added. “They are qualified to advise on the
appropriate action that needs to be taken, can conduct a thorough deep clean and dispose of the resulting waste safely to help prevent further cross contamination. They will also be able to get these essential businesses and services back up and running as quickly as possible, and in a safe and professional manner.”
Webonboarding opens toolbox to tackle
Covid-19 hiring demands on care homes Online employee onboarding specialist Webonboarding has launched a tool to tackle the health care recruitment demands created by Covid-19. The Oxford outfit is offering a cloud-based
onboarding management system that uses automated and real-time processes to allow hiring to be handled without the need for any of the traditional posted documents or emails. With thousands of extra roles needing to
be quickly filled over the coming months, technology has a key role to play in meeting the demands so that recruiters can reduce processing times down from weeks to days, the company said. “Employee onboarding covers all of the
tasks required to convert successful candidates into active health care workers. This covers everything from contract signing, starter packs and first-day preparations,” it added. Webonboarding general manager Simon Connell said: ““We are doing what we can to support health care organisations that are having to deal with such challenging circumstances.” He added: “With a cloud-based approach,
large numbers of hires can be processed quickly and efficiently by a remote working team.”

working software CoolCare is offering free care home management software to help head office staff access resident and staff records remotely in reaction to the UK government’s requirement to work remotely during the Covid-19 pandemic. The company said the software will
provide an easy way to assist the running of core business processes as remotely as possible. The software will be provided for free for at least three months while government recommendations of self- isolation remain in place. CoolCare4 software is cloud-based and can be switched on remotely with the operator’s data uploaded from a spreadsheet. As CoolCare4 is accessible through a website, providers whose head office staff do not have work laptops can access data through their work phones or personal devices.
Care groups order Airsentry Ultra
Clean Air system Two large residential care groups have placed orders for the mobile version of Airsentry’s Ultra Clean Air system amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
The unnamed care providers will site the
Airsentry systems in corridor areas in their homes to allow residents to be treated in their rooms while maintaining the air outside as near-sterile. The Ultra Clean Air system is normally used
to protect patients and staff in the hospital environment, and is used on ICU, oncology and infectious disease units. A London ICU lead consultant said: “I am
convinced the system has enhanced staff safety as well as staff confidence as my staff feel they are in far less danger of contracting the disease during medical interventions than would have been the case without it.” “There is a possibility that coronavirus has
the ability to spread rapidly through residential care homes due to the generation of droplet nuclei,” said an Airsentry spokesman.
