As Care Show Birmingham 2026 nears, CareHomeLife is introducing a range of simple, care-centric solutions designed to make a meaningful difference to the daily lives of residents and those who care for them. Below, we’ve outlined some of the innovations you can expect to see at Stand K20 this October.
Putting period equity on the agenda With women making up 78% of England’s adult social care workforce, period equity is incredibly important. Care is a 24-hour profession, after all. For someone working a long or overnight shift, leaving a care home to buy a period product might not be practical – and during the night, there may be nowhere nearby even if they could. That’s why CareHomeLife is putting period equity on the agenda with the launch of Egal Pads on a Roll. These individually wrapped pads, which can be installed directly inside toilet cubicles, are a simple way for care providers to make free period products readily and discreetly available to visitors and care workers alike. In addition to showcasing the pads and dispenser, we’ll also
be encouraging more care providers to consider period products as an everyday workplace essential – creating inclusive, supportive environments for their teams.
Oral care for residents who find brushing a daily challenge Every resident’s experience is unique, and oral care is no exception. If a resident is resistant to having their teeth brushed, for example, they might actually be communicating pain, confusion or fear. In response, the CareHomeLife team will be joined by Sian Ellingworth – founder and CEO of sensory care specialist BuddiesForLife – to showcase Senses, a low-foaming toothpaste ideal for residents with taste or sensory issues. With gentle flavours that avoid the ‘spicy’ mint sensation
many people find overwhelming, Senses is a great way to ensure oral health by making brushing more pleasant and palatable for residents. Why not give one of our three flavours a try yourself?
Bringing a breath of fresh air to your care homes Did you know that three-quarters of the emotions we experience on a daily basis are tied to our sense of smell? It’s a worthy reminder that odour matters – that the link between the scents we smell and the way we feel is far stronger than we might think. Nowhere is this truer than in adult social care, where odour
has to be tightly controlled and carefully curated – not only for hygiene purposes, but also to protect and preserve the wellbeing of residents and care workers alike. That’s why we’re inviting delegates to visit our stand and smell the difference as we demonstrate the latest range of Oxy-Gen Powered dispensers, designed to eliminate odours whilst continuously releasing a range of comforting fragrances and supporting respiratory wellbeing.
There’s much more to talk about, however! Whether it’s the resident experience or the drive to deliver sustainable value, our helpful experts want to hear from you. For more, come and see CareHomeLife at Stand K20 on 7-8 October or visit
