TRAINING
educational programmes remain relevant, practical and aligned with service needs. This collaborative model facilitates the sharing of best practice, supports national workforce and service strategies, and enables the integration of education with service delivery and transformation initiatives. By positioning itself as both a quality
assessment provider and an educational partner, UK NEQAS CPT plays a vital role in supporting the continued evolution of cellular pathology services. This collective, integrated approach ensures that education delivers meaningful impact, benefiting individuals, organisations and ultimately patient outcomes.
Why this matters now The need to build diagnostic capability has never been more urgent. Increasing demand, technological advancement, and workforce pressures are converging to create a challenging environment for diagnostic services. At the same time, diagnostics are
becoming increasingly central to personalised medicine, early detection, and patient centred care. In this context, organisations must
move beyond traditional training models and embrace integrated, workforce focused approaches to development. UK
