Germany expects 15% drop in machine sales
Orders for German plastics and rubber machinery are likely to keep falling until the end of year, says the trade body that represents manufacturers. “The weak demand is
affecting all markets equally – but the European domes- tic market in particular,” said Ulrich Reifenhäuser, chairman of the board of the VDMA’s plastics and rub- ber machinery association. “Major markets such as China and the US are also weakening, though we see glimmers of hope at a lower level in Mexico and India.” From January to August

New LYB and Dacia collaboration
LyondellBasell (LYB) said the exterior of the all-new Dacia Duster features Starkle material made using LYB’s CirculenRecover portfolio. The PP compound used in the exterior feature includes 20% recycled content derived from post-industrial waste diverted from the manufac- turing process of goods such as flexible packag- ing. The material is then used in exterior parts such as bumpers, trims, and body side mouldings, offering a mould-in-colour effect with eye-catching particles to highlight the use of recycled content.
