Plastics production in Europe grew in 2021
According to Plastics Europe, production of plastics in the region grew by 6% in 2021 to 57m tonnes with post-consumer recycled materials account- ing for 10% of the total figure. This rise was reflect- ed across the board, with global plastics production rising by 4% to a total of 391m tonnes.
