Award Winners


Greg Jackson (above), the executive director of transporta- tion and fleet services for Jeffco Public Schools in Colorado, is among the professionals honored in Columbus for their leadership achievements. As highlighted in the November edition of School Transportation News, Jackson has made a name for himself with his employee-centered leadership and disposition. He was recog- nized for winning the magazine’s annual “Transportation Director of the Year” award Monday eve- ning at an event hosted by STN, Collins Bus Corporation, Motiv Power Systems and ProAir/ACT. Below are additional student transporters who were recog- nized this week.

Thomas Built Buses Continuing Education Award: Rhonda Watson, Lexington and Richland School District 5 in South Carolina


Q’Straint/Sure-Lok Special Needs Transportation Award: Therese Pelicano, Frederick County Public Schools in Maryland
