DINGHY CRUISING
Discover your sense of adventure
Cruising is a fantastic low-cost way of using your dinghy with family and friends while exploring the beautiful coastline and inland waters.
And at this year’s show we’ve got plenty of advice and inspiration to help you cast off.
Dinghy cruising trails
Enjoy a day of adventure on the water with RYA Dinghy Trails. Each trail includes local knowledge, distance and safety information as well as fun facts, wildlife spotting, stellar views and even the best picnic spots.
Visit the RYA on stand A10 to pick up a trail and see some examples of dinghies which are perfect for family adventures.
Tips for adventurers
Don’t miss Dinghy Cruising Association’s Roger Barnes talk about his latest dinghy travel adventures. Steve White from Cody Sailing Club
tells us about his dinghy cruising days, family fun and how you can get involved (Exploring by dinghy, Suzuki Main Stage, 12:30).
Over in the Knowledge Zone, RS Sailing’s Jake Elsbury will be covering everything you need to know to make your next cruising trip plain sailing. Head over at 15:00 for his Tips for adventurers talk.
Pick up a boat
If you’re interested in buying a dinghy to go cruising, the show is packed to the rafters with boats to suit all ages and abilities. Chat to the friendly boat builders and class associations who will be on hand offering all the advice to help you find the boat for you, new or second hand.
