APRIL 2023 THE RIDER /21
AQHA Cumulative Breeder: Vince Amlin
Vince Amlin of West Lorne, Ontario, has bred
and registered over 220 American Quarter Horses since 1970. Each year, the American Quarter Horse Asso-
ciation honors breeders who have dedicated their livelihoods to maintaining the integrity of the Amer- ican Quarter Horse breed. These horsemen, horse- women and their families see their biggest accomplishments and proudest moments in the horses they breed. AQHA is honored to recognize 2022 AQHA
Cumulative Breeder Vince Amlin of West Lorne, On- tario.
Vince has numerous AQHA accomplishments
to be proud of, such as several AQHA World Cham- pionship Show qualifications, grand champion mares, all around titles and superior awards. Scotches Kinda Hot also added a register of merit to his list of achievements. Vince’s involvement in AQHA led him to be
inducted into the Ontario Quarter Horse Association Hall of Fame in 2007 and provided opportunities to showcase the talent of the horses he produced throughout Canada and the United States. AQHA recognized the 2022 50-year Cumula-
tive and Legacy Breeders at the AQHA Breeder Ban- quet, presented by Teton Ridge, during the 2023 AQHA Convention, Sunday, February 26, in Fort Worth, Texas. For more information on the 2023 AQHA Con-

Professional Horseman of the Year or Most Valuable Professional are the top awards an AQHA Professional Horse- man can receive in the equine indus- try. Each year,
individuals are
nominated by AQHA Professional Horsemen for the prestigious honor of being named a Nutrena AQHA Pro- fessional Horseman of the Year. From these nominations, the slates of nom- inees for the Nutrena Don Burt Pro- fessional Horseman of the Year and
Nutrena Professional Horsewoman of the Year awards are compiled by the AQHA Professional Horsemen’s Council and approved by the AQHA Executive Committee. All AQHA Professional Horsemen then vote to determine the Nutrena AQHA Profes- sional Horsemen of the Year award re- cipients. The Most Valuable Professional is nominated by their home affiliate and then voted on by their fellow AQHA Professional Horsemen. Till next time, remember to visit
