TRAIN TO GAIN
The International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) is a UK-based professional membership organisation with a global footprint.
We work together – providing training, knowledge sharing and networks – to support the competence of risk and safety professionals.
Risk management is essential to the sustainability of any organisation. Our two key courses, Managing Risk – The Essentials and Managing Health and Safety Risks – The Essentials, help individuals and teams develop the skills to manage risk effectively.
Nearly three million workers die every year due to work-related accidents and diseases, an increase of more than 5% compared to 2015, according to International Labour Organization (ILO) estimates.
WORKING ON AN INTERNATIONAL SCALE Managing Health and Safety Risks – The Essentials
was developed to cover the range of health and safety legislation that applies to workplaces in the UK, but also to takes into account that IIRSM has an international reach – one of IIRSM’s key differentiators. The risks that our international communities may face can be very different to that of our UK organisations.
Managing Health and Safety Risks provides an essential understanding of why employees should proactively play their role in managing health and safety and how they can do this.
This is a two-day course, delivered in a live, online learning environment and features newly refreshed, real-life case studies to highlight the impact of events, along with video, discussion, group and reflective activities, so that participants can apply the theory to their own workplace scenarios.
VALUABLE SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Our participants speak highly of the training.
Chidera Azudiugwu said: “Enrolling in IIRSM’s Managing Health and Safety Risks course was one of the best decisions I’ve made for my professional development.”
