FM INDUSTRY SERVICE-FREE EXTINGUISHERS WITH 10 YEAR GUARANTEE

Would you like to add extinguisher servicing to your portfolio of services, using your own staff without expensive training courses and without specialist service tools? Then the P50 is for you.

The unique and innovative construction of the P50 offers a guaranteed lifespan of 10 years, but not only that, the extinguisher can then be refurbished for a further 10 years. The extinguishers are manufactured in the UK by Britannia and are kitemarked to the BS EN3 standard by BSI.

The revolutionary design, involving spun Aramid fibre as used in bullet proof vests, means that the traditional yearly

service carried out by a trained extinguisher engineer is no longer necessary. Instead, a brief annual visual inspection by your own staff is fully sufficient. The training for this visual inspection is given by the Safelincs engineer who will install the extinguishers on your behalf. After the Safelincs install, which also includes an extinguisher site survey, the extinguishers are handed over into yours or the final customer’s responsibility for ten years.

Cost saving is always a high priority on the agenda within the FM sector. Many FM companies are already enjoying the savings that can be achieved by changing to the service- free P50 fire extinguishers. You could save up to £300 per extinguisher by simply making this one small change in your service provision. The great thing is that these extinguishers can be installed in any environment, inside or out, so you don’t have to worry about suitability.

How are the £300 savings achieved? While the purchase cost of a P50 extinguisher can be about 50% more expensive than a traditional extinguisher, P50s do not require a refill after five years, no annual service components and no specialist skills to service. You therefore save on training, spare parts and stock costs.

The extinguisher will also not need replacing due to rust or flaking paint. The body of the extinguisher is made from a tough, fire retardant and UV-protected polyethylene outer body with a super strong Aramid inner cocoon encasing a three layered composite core. Combined with proven quality chrome- plated brass and stainless steel components this achieves a 100% corrosion-free extinguisher.

Changing to P50 extinguishers could not be easier. As part of the install, Safelincs will on your behalf carry out a site survey and then install and certify the P50 extinguishers. Where CO2

extinguishers are located these are replaced with

the P50 dielectrically-tested foam. P50 extinguishers have a significantly higher firefighting capability than traditional extinguishers, so usually fewer extinguishers are required.

The P50 can help you reduce your carbon footprint. The Britannia P50 extinguisher is 100% recyclable and does not need refilling after 5 years. Because you can train your existing staff to visually inspect the P50 while they carry out other services, you will also reduce the number of journeys made to customers.
