Welcome to the 2021/22 Tomorrow’s Cleaning Products & Services Guide

It has been an unbelievable, unforgettable 12 months – and not in a good way. As we were putting the final touches to last year’s Products & Services Guide, no one could have predicted the Coronavirus outbreak would become a global pandemic that would affect everything in such a drastic way.

While the headlines were of lockdowns, furloughs and health workers doing

incredible jobs battling COVID-19, the role cleaners and hygiene workers played in keeping our countries moving still doesn’t get the acknowledgment it deserves. At the time of writing, with vaccines rolling out and the prospect of returning to some form of normality on the horizon, the British Cleaning Council is still

fighting for the industry and its workers to be recognised for its contributions. After all, without cleaning operatives, key workers wouldn’t have had safe and hygienic public transport or facilities to work in.

Recovery from the virus is going to take a long time, but the good news is

that the cleaning and hygiene industry will remain a vital part of the process. Enhanced cleaning regimes are going to be a necessity for years to come,

while robotics will continue to expand through the industry, spurred on by the benefits automation can bring in ensuring COVID-safe cleaning, and the long- term improvements they can bring to cleaning services. One thing we’re not

quite sure of yet is the impact of Britain’s exit from the EU: with COVID overtaking everything, the true scale and side effects of Brexit are unlikely to be truly known until our economy is on the mend.

We trust that you will find our comprehensive guide to the cleaning world useful, as inside this handy Products & Services Guide you’ll find all the necessary

information from some of the key players across all sectors of the industry. From carpet cleaning to wipes and microfibres, dosing equipment to waste management, it’s all here in this definitive guide to the cleaning industry.

We hope this serves you well over the next 12 months – and here’s to a much better year ahead!
