EDITOR’S VOICE
There can be no arguing that sustainability is one of the most pressing and prevalent issues facing the cleaning industry. Pressure is mounting in every corner of the industry to make sustainable changes: more than just switching to a few ‘green’ products, fundamental changes are necessary to ensure business operations can not only adapt, but thrive.
With this in mind, we bring you this supplement totally dedicated to sustainability within the cleaning industry. Throughout this special issue, you’ll find a whole host of articles from across the industry, discussing different aspects of sustainability, from new developments to new ways of thinking.
The ‘Father of Green Cleaning’, Ashkin Group President Stephen Ashkin, shows us how we can provide a perfect example of sustainable thinking at tradeshows, such as the ISSA/INTERCLEAN Amsterdam show in May 2018.
It’s hard to ignore the damaging effects of waste plastic on the environment, but Delphis Eco recently announced that they have started production on 100% post- consumer recycled (PCR) plastic – CEO Mark Jankovich talks to us about how such innovations can turn the tide in the war against plastic waste.
