SHOW PREVIEW

A new date for JEC World

Due to the continued impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and after consultation with clients and partners, the JEC World team has decided that the next edition of the show will be moved to June 1 to 3, 2021. With the growing concern among the exhibitors and partners surrounding the virus, travel restrictions, quarantine and lock down measures announced across many countries, the organisers have decided to work on a new time line to hold the event in safer conditions in 2021. Exhibitors answered a survey

proposing three dates to determine which one would suit

them the most. It appeared that a large majority of respondents favoured early June. The event brings together the whole composites value chain and professionals from application sectors, experts from the scientifi c and academic world, associations and media from more than 112 countries. Organisers are also launching

a new digital platform, JEC World Augmented. Adeline Larroque, show director explains, “JEC World and its augmented platform will bring the international composites community together to network with exhibitors, hold digital meetings, access online

conferences and discover the latest innovations. Now, more than ever, the composites sector needs to come together to discuss today’s challenges and tomorrow’s composites solutions.”

Advanced Engineering postponed

Easyfairs has announced that its next Advanced Engineering event will take place on the 3 and 4 November, 2021. This decision has been made following consultation with the engineering and manufacturing industry and due to the ongoing global scope of the pandemic. Providing a way for its

community to stay in touch through these increasingly digital times, Advanced Engineering has also launched a series of free-to-attend webinars entitled AE Talks. These dedicated online panel and keynote presentations are

designed to tackle thought- provoking and relevant topics to help the engineering and manufacturing community continue to grow and develop new innovations. Alison Willis, divisional

director of Advanced Engineering, explains: “During this diffi cult and unprecedented time, I have been overwhelmed by the support that we have received for the event and its critical role in bringing the industry together again. We know that Advanced Engineering 2021 will play a vital role in reigniting new business connections

across all manufacturing sectors by providing the UK’s supply chain community its fi rst opportunity to meet face to face after this challenging period, aiding this pivotal industry in its undoubted contribution to the recovery of the economy as a whole. I would like to thank everyone for their resolute support and understanding and express our ongoing commitment to the many essential businesses in this sector.”
