Shape up for 2018

Steve Heller (center, purple shirt) puts golfers who want to get better through one of his FORE-MAX workouts. FORE-MAX

Designed by Steve Heller to help golfers improve their accuracy and distance off the tee, while also enhancing their fitness lifestyles, FORE-MAX combines flexibility with functional golf strength and power training, aerobic interval training and nutrition. Each session is uniquely tailored to

individual golfers. All flexibility and mobility programming is conducted inside the Westin Kierland Resort’s Agave Spa’s 500-square- foot golf studio, while the resort’s main workout center is used for functional golf strength and interval work. At the same time, FORE-MAX also offers a functional water golf program that utilizes the spa’s river and pools. The program is now a national leader in its usage of water training. But above all else, FORE-MAX is known

for its state-of-the-art driving range, which incorporates a wide range of training components. Oftentimes, FORE-MAX partners with Kierland’s LaBauve Golf

Academy to help customers not only improve the physical aspects of their golf swings, but the technical components as well. “Since 2002, FORE-MAX has been one of

the leaders in golf-specific training, as we have trained some of the best professionals and amateurs in the country,” said Heller, creator of the FORE-MAX brand and fitness director for the Westin Kierland. “Our calling card has been to train all players (no matter what their handicaps are) in a safe, golf- specific way that provides real results. “Since most of our clients are not

professional golfers, we try to have programming options for everyone. Some clients are hotel guests who only see us once and then receive take-home manuals. But most have been trained for years — and usually come two to three times per week.” In other words, there is a spot open and it has your name on it.
