RelyOn Nutec and United Education Form Strategic Alliance

RelyOn Nutec and United Education have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to deliver specialist consultancy and training solutions within Iraq.

RelyOn Nutec, a global safety, training and competency organisation, and United Education, specialists in the provision of operational readiness, HSE, technical and management training, have signed the agreement which will improve the range and availability of internationally accredited training services in Iraq.

The strategic alliance paves the way for RelyOn Nutec to supply instructors to deliver training and certification from the United Education facility in Erbil.

Through the partnership, RelyOn Nutec will deliver IWCF and IADC courses for the drilling sector, for which United Education already have two well control simulator suites, and a range of safety, fire and emergency response/crisis management training.

While RelyOn Nutec currently delivers one of the world’s largest Control of Work solutions to a customer in Iraq, this is a new training market for the global company which has facilities across the region located in Dubai, KSA and Qatar. Long-term the organisation hopes to include OPITO accredited HSE training and to employ new instructors for course delivery in Iraq.

United Education have been in Erbil since October 2015 and currently deliver NEBOSH, CompEX certification courses and soft skills training. The facility in Erbil includes state-of-the-art classrooms, a large outdoor training area and a 10-bay practical lab for CompEx courses.

Andy MacDonald, Managing Director RelyOn Nutec Middle East, said; “We’re

delighted to be partnering with United Education in a move which will allow us to bring our world-leading safety training services to customers in Iraq. This move will have a positive impact on the region and will raise competency levels within the workforce while improving safety and increasing productivity throughout the industry.”

Giovanni Marseal, President, United Education said; “RelyOn Nutec aligns with our vision to provide the best of services to our customers throughout the Iraq and Kurdistan region, combining the world’s most advanced learning material with up-to-date technologies and excellent services and support

to every customer. We look forward to bringing this enhanced service offering to our existing clients and to securing new business in the region.”

RelyOn Nutec has diversified in recent years, adding to its core training business with a strengthened digital offering and expanding its consultancy services. The business has over 33 training centres worldwide with a headcount of 800 globally.

United Education is a leader in training and competency development for the oil and gas industry and provides instructional programmes and competency management.
