Water Treatment, Closed Systems Maintenance
There are two types of closed recirculating water systems, notably chilled water systems (CHW) and heating water systems (LPHW, MPHW, HPHW). In a closed system, water circulates in a closed cycle and is subject to alternate cooling and heating without contacting air.
Closed water systems are susceptible to corrosion, sludge formation and bio-fouling. This can result in problems such as poor performance of the system, reduced economy and increased cost for maintenance and repairs. Materials to be protected can vary from copper, brass, aluminium, iron, mild steel, stainless steel and others.
