In this edition we have an excellent article on the Gloster canary that will hopefully be of great help to new canary enthusiasts to demystify the words commonly used by more experienced breeders of these beautiful birds. This item appeared in issue 17 of Bird Scene but I make no apology for printing it again as it is such an important area and if it helps save a hobbyist bird breeder’s collection it will be space very well used. For our conservation item I have selected the first part of a two part article on the Lear’s Macaw which the society has just started to


support.
