One to Watch Anthesis
Established in 2013, global sustainability consultancy Anthesis has grown organically and through acquisitions to a team of 500 experts who advise on strategy, governance, sustainable products and services, education and finance. In 2020, the Oxford- based company was shortlisted in the Business Green Leaders Awards and the Private Equity Service Provider Awards.
Fidelity Energy
Newbury-headquartered Fidelity Energy’s online portal enables businesses to buy their energy more effectively. The company helps businesses of all sizes to reduce energy consumption, minimise their carbon footprint and ensure their bills are correct. Fidelity Energy currently manages £100m of energy spend and estimates that it delivers an average energy saving of 15.73%.
Snaffling Pig
Pork snacks maker Snaffling Pig was started in 2014 by two friends with £500, who had also launched Medical Supermarket. Based in Ashampstead Common, Snaffling Pig appeared on TV programme Dragon’s Den and successfully received investment. By 2019, it was well on its way to a £4m turnover, with core values of ‘Do great things. Have some fun’.

Having spotted a gap in the market, Farnborough-based Exclaimer’s on- premises and cloud-based email signature management solutions now have over 75 million users in more than 150 countries. Its email utility software works directly with Microsoft technology. The 70-strong company was founded in 2001 and has offices in the UK, Australia, the Netherlands, Germany and the US.

Car and commercial vehicle leasing broker Select Car Leasing was started in 2004 by Mark Tongue and James O’Malley and today employs around 150 people at two Berkshire locations, including its retail store in Reading. The company aims to provide an environment and business culture where employees can develop their careers and be recognised for their contributions.
Blue Array
Specialist Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) agency and consultancy Blue Array provides tailored SEO strategies aimed at delivering a high return on investment for clients. During the year, the Reading-headquartered company launched the Blue Array Academy to offer SEO courses for companies and agencies. Over 90% of new business comes from customer referrals.

Technology provider Pythagoras Communications has been a Microsoft Gold Partner since 2006, delivering business solutions and services to clients, particularly in local and regional government, higher education and the not-for-profit sector. Founded in 1999, the Maidenhead-headquartered company has 100 employees and was a Microsoft Government Partner of the Year finalist in 2018.
