INDUSTRY NEWS ITI Acquires Saker Solutions

Saker Directors (L-R) Shane Kite, Mike Ellarby and Tracy Kite, and Andrew Mills CEO of ITI

ITI, one of the largest independent systems integrators in the UK, have acquired Saker Solutions, a leading simulation and business analytics company.

The acquisition is ITI’s first since rebranding earlier in the year, supporting their digital operations growth and software development plans.

Saker Solutions delivers innovative decision support tools and services to clients using prescriptive technologies as a key differentiating technology. The company has a diverse range of customers across industrial sectors including nuclear, oil & gas, distribution & logistics, manufacturing and food & beverage.

Andrew Mills, CEO of ITI, said: “We’re very pleased and excited to welcome Saker Solutions to our company.

“We are accelerating our growth in digital operations and the acquisition of Saker will enable us to provide even greater support and services to our customers operating critical national infrastructure. Our recent rebrand has given us scope to reflect and identify areas of investment under a common purpose and

strategy. Saker has an impressive track record of delivering leading edge solutions and our customers will hugely benefit from what they have to offer, and vice versa, making them the perfect fit.”

Saker Solutions produce digital twins, which are virtual models of real-life assets that can be used to monitor and evaluate performance, and then orchestrate operational improvements. They also provide simulation analytics which combine digital twins with past experience data to predict future outcomes and inform business decisions. Combining this with ITI’s proven capability to deliver innovative hardware, software and engineered solutions puts the company in a strong position going forward.

Saker Solutions are involved in the project lifecycle much earlier than ITI. Their products and services provide their clients with the confidence to go ahead with a project; whereas what ITI do, in the shape of safety and control systems and digital operations, then builds on those decisions.

Shane Kite, Managing Director of Saker Solutions, said: “I’m extremely proud of everything

Saker has achieved over the last 17 years; joining forces with ITI is only going to help us achieve more.

“We’re still going to be operating as usual, but this exciting development creates opportunities for us to expand our service and technology offering to deliver even more innovative solutions to support our clients. Our products and services complement what ITI provides, and we can’t wait to combine the companies to further transform our clients’ operations and enhance the future of industry.”

ITI already benefits from a skilled and highly accredited workforce, with offices in Sheffield, Aberdeen, Glasgow and Warrington. The addition of the Saker Solutions Team, operating out of their Alcester office, not only enhances ITI’s product and service offering but it expands their ability to deliver across the UK.

Both companies share common values and have ambitious plans for growth in all the markets in which they operate, which means the new enlarged organisation can continue to create innovative solutions to transform business across a range of industries.
