DANCE COUNCIL NORTH TEXAS

DANCE RESOURCE CENTER The Importance of Dancer Health + Wellness

community in north Texas for the last 47 years. As a long- standing supporter and member of the organization, I am especially looking forward to collaborating with you, the dance community, to increase our membership value and create unique opportunities to spread the love and joy of dance.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to connect with many dance professionals, students, parents, studio owners, managers, and supporters of this great art. These connections have fueled my passion to help dancers of all ages thrive in the industry by providing education, training, and resources, as well as avenues to share their work.

To all our members—both business and individual, and to all our partners and supporters: I want to continue to grow and strengthen our relationship with you, and by doing so, increase the value of your membership. Along with the Board of Directors, our focus moving forward is to better serve you, the dance community.

This year has been a tough one for all of us. I have seen studios and companies close their doors and teachers and dancers lose their jobs with no promise of return any time soon. I have also seen dancers and creatives come together like never before to continue to provide dance to north Texas audiences.

This area has an abundance of talent and the greatest win for the dance community would be to work together to grow awareness for the value of dance, and to continue creating programs that promote unity and diversity.

Keep on dancing!
