SPONSORSHIP —- IT’S BEEN THE MAJOR CORNERSTONE OFWORLD MISSIONARY EVANGELISM’S OUTREACH FOR OVER 60 YEARS. From the beginning, WME has pursued a two-fold mission focused on rescuing the futures of young children drowning in poverty and enabling an army of Native Missionaries to evangelize and lead the lost in their nations to salvation. These WME Sponsorship programs – Children and Native Missionaries – are vital to our work.


You may ask, “What exactly does Child Sponsorship do?” For many children who would have been condemned to violence, hunger, illiteracy, sickness or even death, Child Sponsorship is their best opportunity to grow up, learn and thrive. These sponsored children go to school, make friends and find acceptance. These sponsored children eat nutritious food, and many receive new clothing and shoes. Those living in WME Children’s Homes have a safe place to rest their heads. Christian staff care for their needs and demonstrate God’s love. And they hear about the Savior who willingly sacrificed His life so they can experience abundant life now and eternally.


It only takes $35 per month to sponsor a child and change the course of a single, young life. It’s a relatively small investment that makes a huge difference for a child in need.


It is easy to understand why we want to save children living on the edge between life and death, but you might ask, “Why is there a need for Native Missionary Sponsorship?” World Missionary Evangelism recognizes the divine commission to preach the message of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ to a world of lost souls. So in the countries where WME works, we identify men and women who have surrendered to the call to see lives transformed among their own people. As 2 Timothy 2:2 instructs us, “The things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.”
