Yoder says. “We are in this together, from the frontline staff through man- agement. It is not going to do a site leader any favors to keep information about a survey—good, bad or ugly— away from the staff. Your staff needs to understand the areas in need of improvement and their critical role in making changes happen. “We are all creatures of habit,” she continues. “Make sure all of the good things you are doing continue to be habits. If you have developed any bad habits, they may be hard to break, but you must work to do so. Keep at it until bad habits become good habits. This will help your ASC continue to provide exceptional care and perform even bet- ter during its next survey.”
