Did you know that 60% of the jobs we’ll be doing in the next 10 years haven’t yet been invented?


The event, with many businesses from the key growth sectors in attendance, looked to target one of the key influences in young people’s lives – parents and carers. This was to better prepare them with the knowledge and confidence when discussing their child’s education and career options.

What a fantastic night to brighten up a grey and blustery January evening. More than 400 young people, parents and carers descended on Glasgow Science Centre for Scotland’s Biggest Parents’ Evening. The event was buzzing with excited chatter as pupils from schools across the Glasgow region and Lanarkshire thronged around the careers stalls from an impressive range of over 30 Scottish companies and organisations. next ten years not even invented yet, the event focused on the jobs of the future and aimed to ‘Influence the Influencers’ on the skills, qualifications and experience that young people will need to succeed in this ever-changing landscape. Scotland’s Biggest Parents’ Evening, now in its second year, is a national event and this year DYW Glasgow delivered
