President, Medicine Hat Minor Hockey


Salute to Minor Hockey,


As we get set for the second half of our 2019/2020 season, there is a lot to say in how to look back on the first half of this year’s hockey season. For me it’s pride. I am very proud and fortunate to be a part of such a vibrant Association. The growth I’ve seen this year, in comparison to years past in all of our different options and streams of hockey, has been an absolute pleasure to witness.


To our Board of Directors- thank you. It is simply outstanding to witness the time that this group of volunteers takes away from their families to execute the tasks asked of them. I am proud to be part of such an objective group that truly has the bigger picture in mind. Your efforts, passion and professionalism are first class when it comes to governing and operating our Association.


To our Minor Hockey Staff, our GM, Registrar, Administrator & Ice Scheduler- thank you. Your execution and drive for excellence are second to none. We are truly blessed to have all of you working with us. Your ability to give quality performances in your respected positions, with all of the changing variables and hurdles that come your way, is astounding.


To our Coaches, Managers, Parents, and, most importantly, our players- thank you. For your continued trust in the Board as we strive to provide the most viable options we can. For the hard work it takes to plan and execute practices. For managing a year that will provide your team with incredible experiences and life long memories. For the hassle it can be to make it to those 4:00 pm weekday practices or 7:00 am weekend practices. For the pure enjoyment it is to watch our young athletes play the game that they love.


Again, to everyone- thank you.


This first year, of my first term as President, has been challenging and rewarding. I am excited to see what the rest of the 2019-2020 season brings to our great Association.


I wish you all a fun, exciting, positive and rewarding 2020.
