February can mean only one thing...you got it, London Fashion Week…just kidding! Well it does mean that for many of us, but of course it’s also Valentine's Day; a day of love-fuelled gestures for many and for those who forget, an evening of grovelling and a quick trip to the petrol station to pick up what- ever flowers they have remaining…trust me, don't bother, feign disgust at the delivery service and quickly order a bouquet for the next day! For those who don't have the date burnt into the back of their eyes, it's the 14th and in this issue you'll find some lovely restaurants, rings for those who want to pop the question, as well as wedding venues to get the ball rolling. Plus there are fabulous gift ideas for those who like to show their appreciation with a bow on it...on the gift that is!

Over the years, Valentine's Day has taken many forms according to the different men in my life at the time. For one chap, Valentine's Day was no different to every other month, as he felt compelled to celebrate our 'first date' anniversary every single month with roses, Baileys and a romantic CD! After two years I waved goodbye and vowed never to drink Baileys again; thankfully I can now drink Baileys with ice without a twitch! For another, it was always about perfume and dinner… “Something to feed the senses,” he said. One beau was supremely extravagant and I couldn't wait for Valentine's to come round. For one of our readers, who isn't a beau, it means cutting every picture of me out of the social pages of this magazine across the year and making a card out of them...very creative! It did highlight to me the need not to be seen in the same outfit from one month to the next, so I thank him for that and his time and dedication.

For my fiancé, well he doesn't do Valentine's on the 14th as it’s too predictable apparently, so I can look forward to flowers around the date and hope they last. He also complains about the flowers I receive on that day from who knows each year… two bouquets last year in fact, long may that continue!

Last year I hosted a dinner for 17 friends on Valentine's night and had heart cookies made for them all, everyone enjoyed it so much that they've vowed to take it in turns to host the Valentine's dinner going forward, so no hard work for me this year.

I hope that you're inspired by this issue and aren't disappointed on Valentine’s Day. If no little red cards arrive, know that I appreciate you, as do all at Live 24-Seven...

Much love, Katie & team xxxx www.live24-seven.com
