ABB supports automation skills centre in South Africa


Expertise in pulp and paper automation and software is being donated by ABB to the Sappi Skills Centre, based at Umkomaas in South Africa. The Skills Centre, established by Sappi in 2018 to equip local youth with the basic technical skills to prepare them for meaningful employment, is close to Sappi’s Saiccor Mill, the largest single site dedicated to dissolving wood pulp.
