WENTWORTH

Wintertime in Wentworth

As the frost settles, the sparkle seems to lift the charming heritage of the village’s many buildings, adding intrigue and quaint discovery with each visit.

This winter, take a trip around the village and enjoy its many offerings, from shops and eateries to leisurely walks with stunning scenery. Look out for the interesting historical landmarks including the Needle’s Eye a 45ft high pyramid which was built in the mid-18th century.

Visit the two churches; the former now in ruins and the present with its spectacular interior. Walk down through the parklands and see the deer taking shelter under the trees, passing by the many snaking lakes that entwine the greenery. Marvel at the many historic follies which are hidden in the village.

Thank you to the Wentworth Estates Office for kindly supplying the photographs of the village
