He often goes to school without breakfast. The family has to walk 1 1/2 miles just to get water. Despite the daily hardship he faces, Joey dreams of a better future.
Katherine #85242 Katherine is 8 years old and lives in Nicaragua. Her father works in construction and her mother launders clothes to earn money, but they can only afford a small room in a concrete block building that has a dirt floor. Katherine loves to do her homework and enjoys time spent with her friends.

The WME Girls’ Home in Berhampur, India was established in 1977. This picture was taken in July, 2019, not long after our new facility in this area was dedicated.
