Olimpia80, leader company in linear cage forming technology

limpia 80 has recently installed on behalf of Perfiment S.A., a leading steel company


in Chile, a carbon steel model SCF20-75 Linear Cage Forming Mill. The high quality square and


rectangular tubes produced will be used in structural applications. The tube mill covers a range of


hollow sections from 20x20mm up to 75x75mm with wall thickness’ from 0.9mm up to 3mm. The supplied linear cage forming


system is the result of many years of experience and expertise in tube manufacturing. The process brings undisputed advantages in terms of flexibility, production capability and cost-reduction. The system will enable the


manufacturer to produce tubes within the size range, in a few minutes, without roll change and with a substantial reduction in set-up times. Compared with traditional production processes, this method is completely automatic and set-up operations are easy, accurate and fast. Olimpia


80 supplied turnkey systems, finding custom-made solutions. The layout has been designed to optimise the available floor space The company has also signed a contract to supply similar


technology to Mexican producer, Arco Metal S.A. This consolidates its global position in the market for linear cage forming technology. The mills cover a range from 19x19mm up to 120x120mm and


wall thickness from 0,8mm up to 6,35mm. To perform requested tolerance,


Olimpia 80 will supply the two linear cage forming mills with the latest state-of-the-art features.


Corinth Pipeworks selected for I.G.B. pipeline


The project company ICGB AD finalized the public procurement for the line pipes manufacture and supply for construction of the Gas Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria. The 187km line pipe supply


contract will be executed for a period of twelve months, as the first deliveries will be realized within four months of starting the contract.
