You may think Hiebert Cabinets & Fine Woodwork is in the cabinetry business. The truth is, the Bow Island company is in the business of making your dreams come true.


“We are a custom cabinet shop and anything is available. Customers’ dreams can be made reality,” said president and CEO John Hiebert.


Customer service and quality are the cornerstones at Hiebert Cabinets, where the staff of 25 is driven by producing high quality cabinetry exactly the way customers want it.


“From the very first time we meet our customers the designers here are taught to reach into the soul of our customers and find out what they’re really looking for,” he said. “We literally have thousands of different styles here and different looks. Usually we have something for every customer.”


A friendly greeting awaits anyone who visits the showroom on the No. 3 Highway in Bow Island. Before you even know it salespeople have begun to assess just what your needs are. That continues during tours of the showroom and workshop, and all of a sudden Hiebert Cabinets is ready with a quote.


“At other nominal shops maybe they have eight or nine or 10 different styles of cabinets but really at Hiebert Cabinets anything is available and we teach so that we can actually supply that to customers without them feeling overwhelmed,” said Hiebert.


It’s not just Hiebert that thinks highly of the customer service at the shop, either. The company was a finalist for the customer service award at the Alberta Business Awards of Distinction in 2019 and is nominated at the October 2019 Medicine Hat & District Chamber of Commerce


Awards. Last year the company won the local Chamber’s Business Ethics Award and is up for it again this year.

Hiebert Cabinets, which sells in to everything from multimillion-dollar homes to the standard bungalow, prides itself on having some of the best craftsmen around and using only the finest materials, tools and techniques to create custom, one-of-a-kind products that fit customers’ needs. There’s no project too complex, says Hiebert.


“A customer can take a photo online, and bring it to Hiebert Cabinets and we can build it exactly, exactly,” he said. “It’s the little personal touches that make every job yours and not someone else’s.”


Amazing hoods, one-of-a-kind bars, incredible interior and exterior doors, and the smooth finish of the cabinets are big points of


pride for Hiebert and his team. Those features are also frequently complimented on by customers.
