Elior scores Murrayfield stadium contract extension


Contract caterer Elior has been rewarded with a five-year extension on its contract at BT Murrayfield stadium in Edinburgh, the home of Scottish rugby.


The deal runs until 2031, by which time it will have been 22 years that Elior has been providing hospitality services at the venue, which is one of Edinburgh’s largest banqueting facilities and has up to 28 flexible conference spaces. Over the past 10 years, Elior UK has grown conference and events


revenues by 75%, increased average customer dwell time by 21 minutes, while retail spend has increased by 137%. Meanwhile, match day customer satisfaction ratings are reported to be at 98%. Kenny Finlayson, managing director of Elior UK, said: “Our

New weekday match hospitality concept


Aberdeen Football Club’s catering and events partner, Sodexo, has introduced


a new


casual dining concept for its weekday match hospitality for the 2019- 20 football season. The new concept focuses on small plates using local ingredients and is inspired by comfort food recipes. Pre-match menu highlights include breads with smashed avocado, chilli


and pomegranate,


toasted sub rolls with steak, chips, cheese and chill sauce,


chimichurri


crispy chicken tenders and mac and cheese with black truffle and parmesan. Scott McGregor, Director for Sodexo at


Aberdeen Football Club, said: “The relaxed dining concept has been fantastic for us, the

initial feedback has been phenomenal with comments regarding the flexibility as guests are now able to arrive at any time and still get a full selection of freshly cooked dishes.


The food on offer has been very well received, with up to seven dishes to choose from at each match, there is plenty of options for everyone. “We have seen an uplift in seasonal clients dining in the Aberdeen Standard Investment suite due to
