Food and Drink Guide


The River Shack sits perched on the edge of the Mill Pond in the quaint village of Stoke Gabriel. With stunning views of the Dart Estuary and the rolling Devon hills beyond, it provides a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of Totnes and Paignton (which are only ten minutes away).


Under new management this year, the café has a fresh look and an enticing new menu which offers locally sourced fish, homemade cakes, cream teas and some delicious craft ales.


For younger ones there is a little hut selling ice creams and crabbing equipment, and so whilst the parents enjoy a leisurely lunch, the children can happily spend their day crabbing off the quay (rated one of the UK’s top crabbing spots!)


OPEN EVERYDAY DURING SCHOOL HOLIDAYS 9.30 – 5PM .


Breakfast- 9.30am – 11am Lunch – 12pm-4pm Cream Teas & Cakes served all day Dinner on Friday & Saturdays – 6pm – 9pm
