God Preserves His Saints in Time of Trouble! A Praise Report from the Balkans – Psalm 41:1-2

“Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive…”

“Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him… I will be with him in trouble…” – Psalm 91:14-15 Dear WME Partners and Supporters,

IT WAS A TERRIBLE CAR ACCIDENT ON A TWO-LANE ROAD IN ROMANIA. A team was returning after ministering in the poor neighboring nation of Moldova. Rev. Ghiorghi Cazacu , our WME partner in the Balkans, was driving the ministry van containing three passengers. Then without warning, at a curve in the road, a 4door pickup truck manned by a drunk driver crossed over and crashed into the van. The entire team suffered injuries, and Ghiorghi had to be cut out with the “Jaws of Life.”

It’s a miracle the passengers in the van lived. According to the rescue team, a few more inches and the vehicle would have flipped into a nearby valley with deadly results.

Both of Ghiorghi’s legs were broken. Doctors put a steel rod in his left leg because it had been broken in three places. Ghiorghi is gratefully clinging to God’s promises for a complete recovery as he works through physical rehabilitation. Recovery will take time and effort.

It took the “Jaws of Life” to tear open the team’s van and pull Ghiorghi Cazacu from the wreckage. His road to recovery will be long and difficult.

Of course, the ministry in the Balkans is currently without transportation. So we are appealing to you, our faithful donors and supporters, to help supply a van and support Christian ministry in Romania and Moldova.

I have personally witnessed how vital that van is. It facilitates evangelism and crucial outreach:

To the hurting children and tired staff at a staterun home in Moldova

who light up at every visit, receiving aid and encouragement. To churches in rural Romania and Moldova. Some are the only evangelical

churches in the area. Some are in impoverished Roma gypsy communities. To a rehabilitation center for men recently released from prison who

want to live a Christian life and eventually reunite with their families. To elderly men and women who have been left in deteriorating facilities

The van that was lost in the accident is vital to the work in Romania and Moldova. We must replace it or many will suffer in ways we can not fully comprehend.
