Hawkinge SpitfireS Club The club is for the over 55's and we meet once a month on the second Wednesday in Hawkinge Village Hall. We have a variety of speaker's, music afternoons and outings during the year. Visitors are welcome and the cost is £3.00 including tea and biscuits. Bohemian Rhapsody is a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury. Freddie defied stereotypes and shattered convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet. The film traces the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound. Queen cements a legacy that continues to inspire outsiders, dreamers and music lovers to this day. Coastwatch Open Day 11am to 4pm Sunday 30 June The Coastwatch Lookout, alongside Martello Tower No 3 on the Pitch and Putt course, will be holding its Annual Open Day on 30 June between 11am and 4pm. The public is invited to come along and meet the Watchkeepers, and enjoy a tour of the station, with tea and refreshments available. Dog biscuits also available for our canine friends. There is no charge, but we hope that visitors will be happy to make a small donation towards our valuable and vital work. This event is scheduled to coincide with Armed Forces Day when our prominent position provides an ideal viewpoint for the Red Arrows and other displays.


St Margaret’s garden Safari Twenty nine gardens will be open at St Margaret's village near Dover on 29th and 30th June between 10.30am and 4.00pm each day. The event is organised by The Rotary Club of South Foreland and the village in order to raise money for Pilgrims' Hospices. Early Bird tickets are only £5 until 22nd June which includes both days and a brochure giving details and maps of the gardens. The brochure can be collected on the day at entry points into the village. Tickets purchased on the day will be £8, covering the two days.
