Welcome to the mid year edition of CPD SPECIFIER, the magazine for DCE delegates.
This issue sees the introduction of a new feature - BUILDING KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE (BKE).

As our regular readers and attendees will know, I have a ‘mission’ to try and deliver technical information to as many of the UK’s construction professionals as possible!
I am very fortunate to work with a plethora of industry EXPERTS at most DCE events. Experienced and knowledgeable industry professionals who really are EXPERTS at what they do. These are people who know their business, understand your questions and problems and are willing to provide that knowledge freely. My plan is to invite selected individuals to provide technical editorials which help explain Building Regulations or Standards.
The companies they represent all have products and services which need to comply with these requirements and, in most cases, their products and services will outperform the current criterion. The BUILDING KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE (BKE) pages will help you to understand those measures.

2019, so far, has seen a considerable number of NEW presentations on the Meet the EXPERTS tour.
We have also been breaking new ground by staging DCE events in locations we have never been to before!
As stated earlier, my mission to spread the message meant that I have planned events in these new and different venues. Strangely, these events are being attended by DCE ‘regulars’ who are just travelling to the new venues!
As always, it is great to see ‘old friends’ whilst, at the same time, we are still working hard to try and attract more new attendees, especially the younger digital generation.
