Walk this way
We get very excited here at Outside Comfort Zone about the fancy designs, innovative fixing solutions and uses of new materials that we see in our installations? and it?
s quite right
that we should do so and they are the elements that move our part of the construction world forward.
What we don?t do is lose sight of the fact that the core purpose of any canopy or shade sail is to provide weather protection. Which brings us to this fantastic install at Hounslow Town Primary School. This is a new build school and it not only highlights the benefits of adding canopies at the point of construction, making for an easier install, but it is also a great reminder of the basics.
One of the key elements of the install was the 42-metre-long walkway that shelters students, staff and vistiors from the elements as they walk into school. The walkway used our flexible Grange Junior system that provides a cost-effective option for a walkway of this size and fits in nicely with the wall mounted Coniston canopies used elsewhere in the school. All the canopies were finished in Dusty Grey (RAL 7037) which worked with the finishing of the windows and doors in the main buildings.
This combination of practical weather protection and simple design keeps the focus on the main job ? a more comfortable outdoor environment that will be a great benefit to all who use the school.
