What inspires your home decor style?
Here Sharon Grech, Benjamin Moore colour and design expert, shares her top tips for finding ideas.
(NC) It’s no surprise that designers are very visual people, which is why they often look to the world around them for design inspiration. From old photographs to runway trends, inspiration is everywhere we turn.
From haute couture to home couture. Every season we look forward to seeing the latest fashions hit runways across the world, and while they may not always be practical for the average person, they certainly play a role in influencing our personal style. “Fashion and design trends are very heavily influenced by one
another,” says Grech. “The runway is a great place to look for inspiration — keep your eyes open for colours and patterns that inspire you.”
Trendsetting milestones. Each year, key brands share colour trend forecasts that will shape everything from social media to politics. When it comes your interior décor, knowing this information can help you as you choose the colour palette for your walls, fabrics and more.
