Kingfishers at Cretingham Country Park officially opens its doors to the public. Following the purchase of the site (formally Cretingham Golf Club) in December 2017 by Matthew and Claire Thacker there has been an extensive period of renovation to create a stunning venue for all to enjoy. Set in 120 acres, Kingfishers offers the best of Suffolk countryside, with not a vehicle noise or street lamp in sight yet only 20 minutes from the amazing coastal towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold, 20 minutes from Ipswich, Stowmarket, Woodbridge and only 8 minutes to the popular town of Framlingham.


There is something for every- body on site, offering a wide variety of activities with cir- cular walks from 45 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes, wood- land trails, boot camps, secure children’s area, outside activi- ties, 18 hole golf course, wide range of events and not to men- tion our beautifully designed restaurant and bar. We offer breakfast, brunch, afternoon tea, scrumptious home cooked fair, a la carte, woodfired out- door pizza oven and our stun- ning take away menu options.


We pride ourselves on working with local producers such as the wonderful Barn Farm Drinks to ensure you are able to sample the delights of Suffolk, care- fully curated by the experiences brigade of chefs and served by our experienced team. Kingfishers would love you to join us for various exciting events which include a deli- cious fish tasting, quiz nights, Easter


egg hunts, summer solstice ball, summer BBQ’s, fireworks, Christmas and New Year’s celebrations. Something

Our outdoor area will offer a new experience in a stunning and peaceful environment completely safe for your little people with play area, our new pizza oven will be a fabulous addition, come and try us for our Mediterranean Thursdays. Thursday evenings will see a menu of Tapas and Pizza for all to enjoy, why not come along for 9 or 18 holes.


The beautiful designed and decorated lodges are perfect for a getaway! Sleeping from two to six people, some with pri- vate hot tubs. Choose to enjoy the self catering facilities or let someone else do the cooking and pre order a menu that can be delivered to your lodge, or join us in the vibrant and wel- coming bar for a light bite or seasonal menu.
