PRODUCT GUIDE
Natural & Organic Mattresses
For some people, the choice to buy natural and organic products is a personal decision; they want to limit their exposure to potentially harmful chemicals. For others, it’s more about doing what they can to protect the environment. Whatever the reason may be, even making small changes in the types of products you buy can have an impact. Given that you (hopefully) spend at least eight hours a day in bed, it makes sense to extend a more natural approach to your sleep environment.
Today’s natural mattresses are just as cozy and comfortable as their non-organic counterparts. Plus they come with the added peace of mind from knowing that you’ve made a healthier choice for you and your family. As you look to minimize the chemicals in your bedroom, there are different levels of eco-friendly bedding to pick from. There are many products labeled “natural” on the market today—but while many of them do include a number of organic components, there’s no true guarantee that they are safer than those made with synthetic components. In order to market a specific product as “organic,” its materials must be backed by stringent organic certifications and cannot be processed with potentially harmful chemicals.
If you want to invest in the cleanest sleep products, look for the certifications on the following page.
